    Leveraging company/IP assets and positive messaging across vertical platforms so they all interrelate and serve one another. The purpose is to enhance company prestige, provide points of distinction in a competitive global market, and to outreach to potential and existing audiences. Effective strategic marketing manifests dimensional success.

  • Integrated Design

    Visualizing and harmonizing messaging to unify company/IP brand image. Each application of a design fits medium and expresses the IP/brand’s image in a memorable and penetrating manner.

  • Social Media Creation & Management

    Harnessing the power of each platform (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, TikTok, Line, WeChat, etc.) to deliver the company/IP core messaging. Each platform is different, so how the message is conveyed must match the platform. Timeliness and responsiveness to an engaged audience demands management of creative assets, a flight schedule that’s evocative, and the telling of captivating stories to keep audiences coming back for more.

  • Media Relations

    Ideating and crafting appropriate messaging for the company/IP, then servicing press releases to media outlets and providing apropos follow-up to build engagement and relationships with contacts.

  • Production & Promotions Director

    Executing the vision of the brand /IP into whatever form necessary: videos, audio sessions, live appearances; producing promotional collateral for concerts, album releases, and new products. Operationally getting done what needs to get done.

  • Consulting

    Working with internal teams to discuss best applications, and how to disseminate information in the most compelling manner. Being part of the team, but maintaining objective distance to deliver unique perspectives from being an outside consultant.


STRATEGIC MARKETING

Served as the Strategic Marketing Director for the Audire Soundtrack Choir, handling all aspects of marketing and social media. Built community awareness via outreach to underserved markets, pitched media coverage accordingly, and performed in unique spots around Boston, throughout the year. Engagement and profiling of the group soared from this multi-tiered approach. While boosting presence and booking gigs around town, I also performed in the troupe and provided musical direction.

INTEGRATED DESIGN

Created, and curated various designs for an interactive book and audiobook, Fireflies of the Mind, based upon an integrated approach which utilized art assets reflective of a mixed media art project for kids on the Spectrum. Art directed book production and supervised recording of original songs which supplement the book.

Integrated the book design into all other facets of marketing: from sales sheets to social media, from the video book trailer to promo bookmarks.


SOCIAL MEDIA CREATION & MANAGEMENT

Developed social media strategy for Rabbit Tanaka, a premiere lifestyle product licensee of anime and animated intellectual properties. Established guidelines and protocols to complement Instagram and Facebook and assisted with creative development team to grow audience and presence for the company, its brands and products, while catering to an overall internet strategy that links in social media content into the company’s website.


MEDIA RELATIONS

Worked as media consultant for 2019 Rose Parade float initiative, Harmony Through Union, which commemorated the Sesquicentennial completion of the Transcontinental Railroad using a predominately immigrant workforce. I composed the original anthem and performed it live on the float, which surprisingly caught fire during the float’s entrance into the parade. I prepared the first media release, which was serviced to mainstream and Chinese press (given the Chinese influence in building the Transcontinental Railroad and my ethnic heritage). I helped author each bio card for the float riders as part of the EPK for the project. Read all about the event here; and check out the float riders’ stories I worked on here.

One of the more entertaining portions of the float coverage came from Funny or Die’s Cord & Tish. The Harmony Through Union float enters at 1:45:24.

PRODUCTION & PROMOTIONS DIRECTOR

Worked with Berklee professor and performer, La Bek, to promote her new album, With You / For You, both on social media platforms and via video production. I edited this music video to the song, Rain, written by New Orleans’ jazz sensation, Dr. John, who passed away during the release of the album We seized upon the timing to pay tribute to Dr. John with this heartfelt rendition of his classic and moving song.

CONSULTING

Worked with Mattel Toys on their ABC network series, The Toy Box. I was featured on three episodes and was also in the title sequence for the run of the season. My toy concept, Poshies, won its episode, resulting in a negotiated deal for Mattel to acquire rights to the toy IP.

In addition to consulting with Mattel, I’ve also been part of many other consulting teams, including an MIT Harvard Labs and Berklee consortium, where we created original concepts and IPs. I also consult with PANGEA, a creative development salon in Southern California that caters to the confluence of the animation, licensing, and toy industries.
